My special hate reserved just for America...

and Americans. Dreamer, Yes, you are right, good and evil exist in more or less equal measure around the globe. I can't think of a single culture I would want to call my own, all are severely flawed by my standards (which are skepticism and humanism). But... I hold a special hatred just for America and Americans because it and they excel above all others in HYPOCRISY. The majority of Americans believe that America is the world's one hope, the shining star, the ultimate expression of goodness and truth, the example that others should emulate, the standard by which other countries are judged, the perfect culture... what a crock of shit! Americans spout their self-righteous pronouncements as if they are God's chosen country. They believe that the dated and ignored Constitution and their brand of Capitalism is the best system possible, thus they never look within, never question their own evils, never think in terms of principles... they just never THINK! Thus, in my revulsion, in my growing awareness of living in Orwelle's and Kafka's America, and suffocating in America's stale hypocrisy, did I write this poem. And I meant every word of it. Nickless
