As I write this I'm listening to a copy of a choir cd. The ethereal voices of the boys float through the room. I was lucky to be able to get this cd from the underground. It's a shame music like this is illegal now. Anything that can lift the spirit is suspect. I really should turn down the music as I don't know my neighbours well enough to trust them. Then again who can really be trusted in this age of hatred and ignorance? As I said it all started around 50 years ago. The world was busy fighting the Muslim terrorists who were thought to be responsible for 9/11. Alas for the US that threat perished in the flames of the Holy Fatwa. It was sjeik Abullah Mahmoud ibn Weledu Shahid who poured out his cup of vengeance over those miscreants who called themselves martyrs of the faith. After the declaration of war against them they were rooted out left and right. It seemed all the people needed was a little incentive from within. With the growing popularity of the net more and more people started to know more and started to realize the old fanatic voices were holding them back in a downwards spiral of hate. The first and most important victory was the capture and killing of Bin Laden by Afghani mujaheddeen. The Arab tv-station Al Jazeerah showed the decapitated head proudly on all channels. You should've seen the American government. They were seething with envy and hate. They'd lost their most important adversary and nemesis. With the Arab internal insergance they lost their main drive for being in the Middle East. In the following years Al Qaeda was eradicated and several other groups disbanded. A time of peace had finally commenced. Simultaneous the various Arab countries forged a closer bond by creating a Pan Arab union based on several economic treaties and a liberal interpretation of the Shari'a. Those treaties were already planned in secret for the past ten years. It was around this time that the Western World started to look inside for enemies. The borders closed indefinitely. The first to fall were the paedophiles. They were easy as they never had any creedence anyway. Slowly you could find everwyhere newsreels and flyers about how to recognize a paedophile. Next came the petitions to the government of various previously unknown organisations for concerned parents to make public the various registers that the government was building. The opposition protested against this public defacement of citizens, but the government prided itself on its family-oriented politics and refused to change a thing. The populist media started calling the opposition traitors of tomorrow's children and accused them of being accomplices to various childmurders. Blessed be JB |
