Jim isn't the only one who finds the writing dire

Have you noticed that no-one else has agreed with you?

No-one else has said anything, but I agree entirely with Jim's assessment of the Dreamer's writing. It is dire. I believe Boywrite has suffered as much from Dreamer's bullshit as Jim's reaction to it. Fiction writing is not the slavish transcription of private fantasy. I do not understand why '8 Months' has been allowed to flood a writers' board and I too wish Dreamer would inflict his talents on a more suitable forum, perhaps Nifty. However, I would understand if it was also rejected from there, on the grounds of being erotically anodyne in addition to its many other faults.

I agree with others here that Jim has been far too hostile in his criticism. The complaints about Jim's 'rudeness' are fact-free (for my part I enjoyed his rage orgasms by proxy), but the awkward fact is that his ranting didn't stem The Banal Fantasiser's logorrheic flow. All that it has achieved is - predictably - that Dreamer adopts a posture of stubborn unconcern while wearing an increasingly tight, frozen smile.

The other awkward fact is that Dreamer is not preventing others from writing much, much better than him, and providing something like the material for which Boywrite was designed. I accept I am as guilty of standing at the edge of the torrent as anyone else who reads, rants and contributes nothing.

But all the same, Dreamer, please go away.

Yours,
Mr_Lee
